Sweet grins (literally!)

What beautiful weather we've been having!  Spencer is loving playing outside.  He begins saying "outside" before we even get home every day.  We're gearing up for Easter and cannot wait.  We are going to see Gram and PaPaw and have so much fun!!  Oh Spencer will love the cows and all the open space to roam.

I snuck my chair into the kitchen to try to get snacks.

Dad was dipping his graham crackers in milk, so of course I had to do the same.

Spencer LOVES Nutella!!

Good TV!

I am a reality junkie, but only good reality...haha!

  • Ochocinco was better than I thought.
  • Kate was worse than I thought because I really hoped she'd be better.
  • Pamela Anderson needed to chill out & lay off the bottle before the show.
  • Erin and Maks are the cutest couple and I see a budding romance!!

  • I like Heather from Arkansas
  • Texas Tech shout-out to Alexandra!
  • Tyra wears me out...still!

  • Just started watching this for the first time and it's wearing on me.
  • I love Cyndi Lauper, but she's a spazoid!

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!!  I'm a sucker for all of the Housewives' seasons.
  • I'm defintely 'Team Jill' and 'Team Bethenny'
  • I'm beginning to warm up to the Countess.
  • Ramona & Kelly are not my favs by any stretch of the imagination!
  • Alex has no personality.

  • This is the first season I've watched of this and I'm already dreading it ending.  I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • My favs: Darius, Koli, Sam & Sunshine
  • Ashley is lazy and whiney

  • Although it's not reality, it's TV greatness!!
  • Last episode of the season coming up on Monday...boo hoo!!!

  • 2 of the best weeks of the year!!!!!!
  • Duke Bluedevils baby!!
  • Talk about some bracket-busters this year!!!

I'm back!!!!!!

New blog.  New look.  New news.  Good stuff...

It's been since Fall since I've posted anything because I didn't like my last blog and after much procrastinating and a lot of playing around with this new one, I finally LOVE it!  Unlike the other one ANYONE can post without fail (I've already double checked it...thanks Kari!).  I love reading the comments and that's the one thing I missed the most from the last blog.  So bring them on!

I would have to write a book if I were to post everything that has been going on since I last posted.  Let's make it short:
  • Emily got to come in for Thanksgiving - yay!
  • Stephen came in for Christmas - fun!
  • Spencer had more fun at Christmas
  • We've had more snow than I care to type about since November
  • Made a short trip to Arlington in Feb. and got to see Rick's mom which was awesome
  • We are really enjoying our weekends together doing not much of anything, but spending time together which is better than anything in this world!
Now for the shout-outs to Spencer:
  • Spencer is not fond of the snow
  • Spencer LOVES playing outside and it's a daily request of his when he gets home from school every day
  • Spencer is quite the repeater & mimicer
  • Wearing glasses just like Daddy!
Every 20 month old needs to shave in the mornings
  • Spencer loves to dance and sing.  Just tonight he was doing these handmotions and "singing" (he had chapel today and loves it!) and as we watched, he was doing the motions to "If you're happy & you know it" and "I'm in the Lord's army".  We had a blast singing and doing the hand motions with him.
  • Spencer gives hugs and kisses at the drop of a hat - uh oh...we better watch out for that in the future!

Pretty upset and glaring at Mom & Dad

Lovin' the playroom at the Science Spectrum

Bath time!!!

Where else are you going to put the chips?

That's just a small "sprinkling" of what's been going on.  I really hope you have the time to read this blog from time to time because I WILL keep up with it and post all kinds of junk, so beware.  I always love reading new blogs, so let me know where your's is and I'm there! (If I had your's linked on my old one, it's gone and I don't have them saved somewhere, so let me know again.)

One last thing for now..."The exception, not the rule." is a common phrase Rick & I use.  It's a very powerful statement to both of us and how we live our lives.  It's special and that's why I use it here to title our blog.
