Polar Express Party

We have the Polar Express train here and wanted to take Spencer and one of his friends.  We checked into it and long story short, it was going to cost around $200 for 4 of us.  Uh, no.

Rick got the bright idea to have our own Polar Express party at our house.  We invited Spencer's friends Hudson & Braylee to come over.  We also invited his friend Sawyer, but she couldn't make it that night.

I made these invites and sent them in the mail to the kids.

I also enclosed this ticket and I backed it with shiny gold card stock.

I didn't take pictures of a lot of the things I did for the kids because I figured I wouldn't be blogging about it anyway. :/  We had pigs in a blanket and grapes & strawberries to start off with.  I made hot chocolate in the crock pot which was the best hot chocolate I've ever had.  We put the hot chocolate in mugs I had our art teacher write on for me (no pictures at all - sorry).  Each one had their own personalized mug that had their name and on the other side said "Believe".   Braylee brought some cotton candy and I had already made cups like this to put popcorn in, so we used them for cotton candy instead.  I also made these chocolate dipped marshmallows.

Oh my gosh they had a blast!!

After the movie, it was time to play doctor...
